The Malaysian Timber Industry Board (MTIB) successfully organised the final session of the “ESG Essentials: Navigating Implementation in the Timber Industry” workshop series, dedicated to industry players in the Borneo region. A total of 24 participants, primarily from timber-related businesses operating in the region, attended the session.
The objective of this workshop was to provide a comprehensive understanding of the importance of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting, and to highlight how ESG adoption can strengthen corporate branding and expand market access—both domestically and internationally.
